Free or Practically Free fast food. It’s a recession thing. I hardly endorse it, but, everyone does need to eat, and sometimes we forget our lunch.

  1. I myself adore fast food, and probably (ok, definitely) rely on packets and cans more than I should, but I can count the number of times I actually go and eat at places such as KFC or McDonalds per year on one hand. Or two fingers, actually. I tend to go about twice a year, sometimes less. This year so far I haven’t been at all. I adore McNuggets (and before anybody says it; yes, I know EXACTLY what goes inside them. And I don’t care a jot) and the milkshakes that are chock full of icecream and cream and probably use ten times the calorie amount one person is supposed to consume in a week.

The article is interesting. I haven’t tried any of the 99p/99cents menu because I always have exactly the same thing (I’m boring. Go me!), so I couldn’t tell you whether or not I agree they are edible or not. I do agree though that with the current climate, any way for families or individuals to eat cheaply, no matter what type of food it is or how bad some may think it is for you, is a good thing.

    Plus it tastes great. :-)

  2. Oh, you British with your packets and cans. So much better than anything we can get here.
