Yes, the lack of a shower in our office has discouraged me from biking in. I’ll still do it, but only occasionally.

For me, it definitely makes a difference (whether or not there is a shower), but of course Southern California commutes are often unbikable.

For the past year I had a commute of over an hour to work. Unbikable (and I’ve never commuted by bike). My spouse, however, bicycle commutes as often as he can (an 11 mile ride). Yes, there are showers available in the on-site fitness center!
